Nestled in the Deba valley, among the green hillsides of the Gipuzkoan mountains, lies Belaustegi. A traditional farmhouse turned into a restaurant, its walls hold more than 500 years of history. It is the birthplace of Chef Josu Muguerza, with origins dating back to the 15th century. Twenty-two years ago, our chef decided to return to his roots, and after two years of renovations, he transformed it into what it is today.
Day after day, Josu strives to make his home a unique and special place, carefully crafting every detail of the décor. This, combined with his cuisine steeped in tradition, ensures each visit is truly one of a kind.

Belaustegi is the largest of our dining rooms. It is located in what used to be the farmhouse’s old stables.
Its rustic charm has been preserved, with exposed wood and stone. Weddings, communions, and other celebrations are held here. It is also the main restaurant space where à la carte meals are served.

Located on the first floor, this spacious dining room features original wooden beams that lend it a rustic feel and a very special atmosphere.
It’s ideal for small weddings or intimate family lunches and dinners. Accessible for people with reduced mobility and strollers.
Capacity: 30 people
Also on the first floor, this room was once the old kitchen of the farmhouse; the original wood-burning stove is still preserved, adding a cozy and homely touch.
It’s perfect for small weddings or private family meals. It has two separate access points and is fully accessible for those with reduced mobility or with strollers.
Capacity: 8, 6, and 2 people respectively
