Nestled in Deba, between the green slopes of the Gipuzkoan mountains, lies Belaustegi. A traditional farmhouse turned restaurant, its walls hold over 500 years of history. The birthplace of chef Josu Muguerza, its roots trace back to the 15th century. Twenty-two years ago, our chef decided to return home, and after two years of renovations, he transformed it into what it is today.
Josu strives daily to make his home a unique and special place, carefully curating the décor with attention to detail. Combined with his cuisine, which breathes tradition, each visit will be truly unforgettable.

Belaustegi is the biggest of our dining rooms. It is located in the old stables of the farmhouse.
It has maintained its rustic style with wood and stone walls. Weddings and big events are held in this room. Also ‘la Carte’ is served in this dining room.

The dining room is located on the first floor. Its spacious structure and the preservation of its old beams give it a rustic feel, creating a very special atmosphere.
Here, small weddings and family lunches or dinners can be celebrated in complete privacy. It is accessible for people with reduced mobility and baby strollers.
CAPACITY: 30 PEOPLE
The dining room is located on the first floor, where the farmhouse’s old kitchen used to be; the original wood-burning stove is still preserved, giving the space a cozy and homely feel.
Small weddings and family lunches or dinners can be held here in complete privacy. It is accessible for people with reduced mobility and baby strollers, as it has two access points.
